When does PoE 3.30 come out?

Path of Exile starts a new challenge league roughly every four months, and each start date is set by Grinding Gear Games, the Auckland studio that makes the game. 3.30 is the next one.

GGG set the date on 12 October 2026: the next Path of Exile 1 expansion releases on 13 November, Pacific time (GGG, 3.30 expansion timeline). On 1 November GGG gave it a name, Covens of Umbra, and repeated the date: 13 November PST, free on PC and consoles (GGG, Covens of Umbra announcement).

13 November 2026 is a Friday. With the start hour we expect, 19:00 UTC, players in India, East Asia and Oceania get the league early on Saturday 14 November, local time.

What time does Covens of Umbra launch?

The hour is not announced yet. GGG usually confirms it the day before launch, in a short post that gives the realm downtime and the moment the servers go live.

For an estimate we checked GGG's last two Path of Exile 1 launches. Mirage, 3.28, went live on 6 March 2026 at 19:00 UTC (GGG, Mirage launches soon). Curse of the Allflame, 3.29, went live on 24 July 2026 at 20:00 UTC (GGG, Curse of the Allflame launches soon). In Pacific time that is 11 AM and 1 PM, which looks inconsistent until you check Auckland, where GGG is based: both launches were at 8:00 AM New Zealand time.

On 13 November New Zealand is on daylight time, UTC+13, so 8:00 AM there is 19:00 UTC, or 11:00 AM PST. The countdown and the time zone table use that hour. When GGG posts its own, we switch both and say so at the top of this page.

What is known about Covens of Umbra so far

Very little, on purpose: GGG keeps the league mechanic for the reveal. Confirmed so far are the name, the launch date, that the expansion is free on PC and consoles, and a one-line teaser on the announcement: “She comes for your realm.” Nothing has been announced about the mechanic, new skills or Atlas changes.

Anything you read about the mechanic before 6 November is a guess. We add facts to this page only after GGG states them.

What happens to your Curse of the Allflame characters

When a challenge league ends, its characters and their items move to the permanent leagues: softcore characters to Standard, hardcore characters to Hardcore. They are moved, not deleted. GGG usually adds a note on league-specific items: for Mirage it was posted on 13 July 2026, and the league ended on 20 July (GGG, what happens when Mirage ends).

Curse of the Allflame ends on Monday 9 November at 1 PM PST, 21:00 UTC (GGG, 3.30 expansion timeline). If you are finishing challenges, that is your deadline, four days before 3.30 starts.

What this site adds next, and when

The night of the reveal, 6 to 7 November: the ExileCon recap and a short version of the 3.30 patch notes. After launch: the 3.30 Atlas, its passive tree and farming strategies, and a guide to the 3.30 challenges.

This site covers the league itself: dates, the reveal, patch notes, the Atlas and challenges. Builds and trading are outside it.
